BIRTH – 3

Welcome to the Nursery Ministry of First Baptist Charleston! When you drop your child off with us, we like to think that they’re not just coming to a nursery, but a place of love, safety, fun and biblical learning. We want even our youngest little people to experience Bible truths because we believe that even babies can learn and sense God’s love and security as dedicated teachers care for them here.

The Nursery is available during Sunday School and the Sunday Morning Worship Service.

PRE-K – 6TH GRADE

Our Children’s Ministry, for preschool through 6th graders, meets for Sunday School on Sundays at 9:30 a.m., and children are invited to attend Children’s Church during the Sunday morning teaching time. We don’t have Children’s Church on the last Sunday of each month because we believe it’s important that kids participate in worship with the adults in their lives.  We know it may be a little loud, but we love it! The nursery is available every Sunday for the little ones.

OUR SUNDAY SCHOOL CURRICULUM

The Gospel Project

Sundays, 9:30-10:20 a.m.
In the Education Building

The Gospel Project takes kids on a Christ-centered, chronological journey through Scripture. Kids will discover how the Gospel unfolds from Genesis through Revelation. When kids truly experience the Gospel, their hearts are transformed. It is the Gospel, not good behavior, that changes everything.

OUR WEDNESDAY NIGHT CURRICULUM

TeamKID

Wednesdays, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
In the Education Building

TeamKID is our Wednesday night ministry for Kindergarten-6th graders. It’s a fun, high-energy ministry that encourages kids to know Jesus Christ and grow in a relationship with Him. All parts of TeamKID—Bible stories, Scripture memory, life application, missions, and recreation—connect to teach life lessons to kids.

Why is the KID capitalized in TeamKID?
The KID stands for Kids in Discipleship. Discipling children is the goal of TeamKID.

What happens at TeamKID?
TeamKID is designed for children to do more than memorize Scripture. It helps children understand what the verses they memorize mean because all parts of the TeamKID meeting focus on one Bible message. The games, Bible story, memory verse, missions, and conclusion all contribute to help children understand and apply God’s Word to their lives.

3RD & 4TH GRADE

FBC Charleston partners with KiDs Beach Club to provide 3rd and 4th grade students at Charleston Elementary with the opportunity to encounter Jesus and learn what it means to follow Him. We meet in the safe room at Charleston Elementary from 3:10 p.m. to 4:20 p.m. on Mondays.

Each child’s safety is our highest priority.
A background check is required for all FBC Kids and KiDs Beach Club leaders and volunteers.
